Sifu Rodney Hitchcock, is our senior guest instructor here at Shodown MMA. He began martial arts at 9 years old. By the time he finished high school he earned his Black Belt in Street Karate and had competed in Boxing, Wrestling, and Sport Karate. After high school, Sifu Rodney earned his Black Belt in Combat Jujitsu and began studying Jeet Kune Do under various instructors. Eventually he met Bruce Lee’s protege Ted Wong and became a personal student of his in the art of Jeet Kune Do and is now a certified instructor under Ted Wong.


In 1996 Sifu Rodney founded Team Ronin MMA training male and female fighters at the amateur and professional level. Over the years team Ronin has won hundreds of matches and nearly 20 titles. Now Sifu Rodney is a 7th degree Black Belt in both Street Karate and Combat Jujitsu and travel the world teaching Jeet Kune Do while helping fighters at Team Ronin MMA and Shodown MMA take their skills to the next level. We could not be more honored to Have Sifu Rodney as a part of our Shodown family. He brings with him a skill level and knowledge base that few in the world possess.
